In Tamil/South Indian cuisine, there are different types of curries that are best eaten with rice. One type of curry is called a "kuzhambu" (Tamil: குழம்பு) and another is called a "koottu" (Tamil: கூட்டு). Recipes for three such curries have been added to the recipe collection. The "dhal ball curry" (பருப்பு உருண்டை குழம்பு) in particular was a big hit at home whenever Dr. Kanthimathi made it.
